At the elevation of 1,200 to 1,400 meters above sea level, the mountainsides rich soils are covered with mist or clouds which are ideal weather conditions for growing High Mountain Oolong tea.
Jin Xuan tea was first fashioned in Taiwan during the 1960’s by the Taiwan Tea Agricultural Research center with the support of Taiwan tea growers to create the ideal High Mountain Oolong. However, the Thai processing method produces a tea that is very close to Green asĀ it is only oxidized at 20%, yet having a much more complex, rich flavor than Green Tea.
This special Thai variety produces a light golden color Oolong with a unique fragrance that remains in your cup. The pronounced flavor with bright wildflower notes and a hint of honey rounds out the taste of this quality Oolong that lasts throughout several infusions. Doi Tung Jin Xuan Oolong brings one of the great locations for growing Oolong tea together with one of the special Oolong varieties, Jin Xuan.
